Got to Hayling about 12, met Juan who was coming back from the seafront having been out from low tide, early, blathering about waves and stuff :) Good to see him. Rigged 4.7 Rock on the 77 FSW, got out in fairly busy lagoon. Lots of people going out. Pootled around in the lagoon for about 10 mins while Juan took some (probably crap!) pix. My gybe attempts are definitely faster, if not necessarily more successful. Need to practise the routine more.
Then headed out of lagoon, too crowded for my taste! Basically blasted back and forth across the bay, gybing on the ends. I didn't make one!! But it felt good, and I learned more about how it all feels - starting to let the board ride round the bend, now need to get feet and sail right. This is hard...
Stayed out for about an hour, then hands were really cold, concentration and awareness dropping and it was getting rainy so came in. Good session for the first of the year! :)
